Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Business Project Manager (Remote)

to join our team! In this role you will get to provide direction and management for small to medium-sized projects and ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Contributes to or leads project improvement initiatives impacting both the Federal Business Unit (BU) and Critical Infrastructure BU. Engagement across the BUs to define needs, developing plans/solutions to resolve those needs, implementing those plans, and communicating across all stakeholders.

  • Collaborate across all business operations teams to improve processes and resources that impact Federal projects.

  • Provide project management guidance and best practices to new and developing project managers. Develop training resources as needed.

  • Utilizes direction and strategy from leadership regarding project management efforts to help create and execute plans that implement new project initiatives and influences project teams to change behavior accordingly. Ensures buy in and adoption of the new program or change by others in the organization. Develops the collateral required to enable key stakeholders and others to be on board. Contributes to the training, reskilling, and mapping of individuals in partnership with business operations.

  • Develop an expert understanding of Parsons’ project management workflows.

  • Maintain awareness of current project management methodologies, practices, and tools.

  • Propose policy and procedure changes to QPO leadership that brings value to the BU and Parsons.

  • Collects and evaluates success criteria, performance metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Use scorecards and dashboards to monitor metrics and evaluate for alignment with business and program objectives.

  • Attend Sector leadership meetings to maintain awareness of project efforts and provide QPO support.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or related field.

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • 10+ years’ work experience in project management and process improvement in Federal government contracting, Commercial contracting, and/or state/local consulting.

  • Experience across all project phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor & Control, and Closeout.

  • Experience with change management and change implementation.

  • Project risk management experience in identifying risks, tracking risks, managing risk strategies, and closing risks.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Excited about collaboration with different and diverse teams across the enterprise.

  • Remote teaming skills: facilitation, leadership, administration.

  • Analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Effective written and communication skills - able to convey process changes clearly to stakeholders at various levels.

  • The ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to emerging risks.

  • Adaptable and capable of adjusting strategies to address evolving challenges.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience across different contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP).

  • Familiarity with Engineering / Technical Disciplines, software development, systems integration, cyber, design, and construction.

  • Thorough knowledge of Federal Contracting practices (FAR) .

  • Familiarity with contracting or consulting in transportation, environmental remediation, urban development, and/or critical infrastructure.

  • Thorough knowledge of Commercial and State Contracting practices and regulations.

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
