Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Journeyman System Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get deploy and configure software releases as well as being responsible for maintaining the systems, configuring both operating systems and software products, and installing required software patches and security updates to the systems for Defensive Cyber Operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Participating in SAFe® Agile Software Development and/or Mission Deployment teams deploying Defensive Cyber Operations software, systems, and networks, in a SAFe® construct.

  • Implements and manages all systems, applications, security, and network configurations.

  • Resolves network performance issues and establishes a disaster recovery plan.

  • Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment.

  • Provides technical support and guidance to users.

  • Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.

  • Strong ability to produce and maintain varied technical documentation

  • 100% onsite is required in Colorado Springs, CO

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university with minimum 3+ years of experience

  • Ability to obtain and hold a Secret clearance

  • Must have 1 DoD 8570.01/8140.03 Certification: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CYSA+), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GISCP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Network Defender (CND), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

  • Provide tier 2 and 3 technical support

  • Develop and document system administration standard operating procedures

  • Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability

  • Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems

  • Identify and create automated solutions for systems using Bash scripting, and Python

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university

  • Top Secret OR interim/active Secret with ability to get Top Secret

  • STIGs, ACAS, HBSS or other cyber related skills

  • Familiarity with Defensive Cyber Operations Concepts

Salary Range:

$68,400.00 - $119,700.00
