Parsons Corporation Senior Landscape Engineer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Landscape Engineer to join our team. As the Senior Landscape Engineer, you will provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to our client, ensuring that landscape design elements are seamlessly integrated into the project's overall vision and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the client, project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive landscape design strategies that enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability of the infrastructure project.

  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments to inform landscape design decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Lead the development of conceptual and detailed landscape designs, including site grading, planting plans, hardscape elements, water features, and green infrastructure solutions.

  • Provide technical expertise on soil composition, plant selection, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping practices to optimize the long-term health and resilience of the project's landscape.

  • Collaborate with external design firms, contractors, and vendors to coordinate the implementation of landscape design elements within project timelines and budget constraints.

  • Oversee construction activities, conduct site inspections, and monitor progress to ensure that landscape installations meet quality standards and design specifications.

  • Manage project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, contracts, and permits, and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and address any technical challenges related to landscape design and construction.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and contributing to the overall success of the team.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, providing strategic recommendations and expert insights to support informed decision-making and achieve project goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field;

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in landscape design and project management, with a track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainable design practices, and green building standards.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management.

  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed to support project requirements.
