Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Geotechnical Engine ​ to join our team! In this role you will get to work closely with a variety of professionals on upcoming Remediation and Mine Environmental Management Projects in Canada and North America.

What You'll Be Doing:

The primary responsibilities for this position will include project management and technical support of mining environmental and remediation projects. Specific job description includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Project Management and Coordination:

  • ESA and remediation of mining projects

  • Tracking and maintaining budgets and project finances;

  • Preparing Reports;

  • Maintain client and subcontractor relationships;

  • Primary point of contact with clients, sub-contractor junior staff, and other project managers.

  • Provide technical leadership in the design and project management of projects involving mine site investigations, remediation of various infrastructure around mine sites, construction support.

  • Develops the work packaging, sequencing, and scheduling plans

  • Responsible for the preparation of technical components of tender documents meeting the project requirements

  • Leads internal and external communications regarding tender submissions

  • Manages EHS program for Civil Construction/remediation activities including review and approval of Contractors and oversight of work activities

  • Responsible for the delivery of the construction scope, schedule, budget and quality of work packages delivered by sub-contractors.

  • Remedial design and site remediation oversight

  • Review of technical documents and reports;

  • Support business development activities including proposal preparation on major and minor pursuits;

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil/environmental/chemical/geological engineering or similar programs

  • 10 + years of consulting experience at an engineering firm with strong experience in the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites execution and management

  • 5+ years managing contaminated sites projects with consulting value over $500K and/or as a program leader of multiple sites.

  • Similar experience at mine sites preferred.

  • Technically strong with advance knowledge of remediation designs on complex industrial sites.

  • Experience working with diverse multidiscipline and/or international project teams.

  • Experience with remediation prefeasibility and feasibility studies, remedial investigation, detailed remedial design and planning, quantity and cost estimating, preparation of construction documents and specifications.

  • Strong financial and project management aptitude with demonstrated experience on managing similar projects.

Salary Range:

$110,100 - $204,600
