Army Business Development/Capture Director Position Overview:
Parsons is seeking a dynamic Business Development/Capture Director to join our Defense and Intelligence (D&I) team. We are looking for the Director to be the leading force in growing client relationships and business in our Army market. As the Army Business Development/Capture Director, you will develop and lead our business development and Capture strategies designed to expand Parsons’ presence in key Army organizations. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, establish, and maintain client relationships in support of new and existing sales, and identify opportunities that position Parsons to expand its presence in the Army and achieve overall business plan growth goals. You will engage in senior level discussions both internal to the company, across industry, and within the customer space.
15+ years diversified experience in Business Development and/or Capture Management.
Established industry and government relationships and understanding of the Army competitive landscape and acquisition processes for the Army C5ISR Center and at least 2 of the following:
PEO Missiles and Space (M&S)
PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS)
PEO Combat Support & Combat Service Support (CSS)
PEO Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S)
PEO Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (C3T)
Relationship builder who creates strategic alliances with organization leaders to align Parson’s capabilities, experience, investments, and resources
Proven track record to build and successfully execute adjacent and new market entry strategies that have led to large awards (i.e., $100M or greater)
Proven Track Record winning contracts of $100M or greater in awards
Capable of developing comprehensive client account strategies to produce winning results
Understanding of current market trends and differentiated solutions in this space.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Must be willing and able to travel, as required, 10-20%.
TS clearance with eligibility for SCI
Desired Candidate Traits:
Domain knowledge in one or more of the following domains: hardware and Software platform integration, Systems of Systems (SoS Design), C5ISR, space payload integration and development, Space C2Ops, SE&I services including MBSE.
Persistent problem solver with a tenacious drive to Win.
Demonstrates ability to influence, inspire trust and establish & sustain credibility.
Able to develop budgets and manage pursuit and bid dollars effectively.
Understanding of competitors’ capabilities and ability to devises plans to position the company to be successful in pursuits aligned with our capabilities
Ability to act as a Parsons ambassador to support participation in applicable conferences, exhibits and industry engagements to promote Parsons’ capabilities
Prior Military (Army) experience preferred.
