Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a sharp Electrical Engineer to support multiple high visibility R&D and rapid prototyping activities in support of the US Army C5ISR Center’s Prototype Integration Facility (PIF).
The C5ISR Center's is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and you will work with an established team of experienced engineers, technicians, and field service representatives to turn concepts into reality in support of the Warfighter. Formulate innovative solutions to problems -- then design, build, and integrate them.
For this opportunity we're looking for a dedicated individual with a strong electrical engineering background and technical skills to support a wide variety of task efforts for existing and upcoming projects. Successful candidates will be willing to learn on the job, work independently with a minimum of supervision, take on any task, and work to make the team a success.
The candidate will provide technical support for rapid prototyping initiatives. Duties include design, testing, hardware acquisition, hardware assembly, creation of electrical drawings, and the development of training documentation and user manuals. Additionally, the candidate will be able to support the design, fabrication, and assembly of mil-spec cable harnesses, and electronic systems and sub-systems.
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
No clearance needed to start, but you must be willing/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Technical competence with electro-mechanical equipment and experience with training/testing procedures
Technical competency in systems and subsystems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, electronic, and information technology disciplines
Experience in analyzing, implementing, installing, setting up, and troubleshooting network systems.
Experience and knowledge in assembling military spec cable assemblies and use of tools including crimpers, heat guns, and soldering machines. Understand military specification such as MIL-DTL-38999 and MIL-DTL-26482. Have experience and knowledge in use of non-environmental, environmental, and EMI/RFI connectors and backshells.
Experience in using Electrical Cad software such as AutoCAD Electrical and PTC CREO Schematics for creating/updating/editing electrical drawings.
Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
Diligent, focused, and dedicated to ensuring high-quality work product.
Able to travel in support of customer objectives – CONUS and potentially OCONUS destinations – up to 10%.
Able to read and comprehend electrical wiring drawings/diagrams and work
What Desired Skills You'll Bring :
Active DoDSecret Security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
Demonstrated engineering experience with disciplines including electro-optic sensors, visible cameras, communication systems, and lasers.
3+ years’ experience in an engineering/systems integration environment with increasing responsibilities.
Experience in designing and integrating electrical systems into existing or newly developed military platforms for providing controls, signals, videos, communications, and electrical power.
Experience with Labview, C++, MATLAB, and Python is highly desired.

Salary Range:
$59,300.00 - $103,800.00
