Job Description:
Parsons is actively seeking a qualified Radar Engineer with a focus on Modeling & Simulation (M&S) to contribute to ongoing science and technology (S&T) initiatives at one of the U.S. Army’s premier research and development centers.
The successful candidate will join a team of technical experts dedicated to developing a comprehensive software simulation environment, modeling the data processing chain of a major U.S. Army radar system. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to engage in product development from its inception, while gaining a deep understanding of radar processing algorithms and methodologies. The data products developed will directly influence the U.S. Army’s next generation of radar systems and technologies. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping advanced radar modeling and simulation capabilities, working collaboratively across multiple programs to deliver comprehensive end-to-end system solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide support for system troubleshooting and problem resolution by identifying and mitigating technical issues that arise during development and operational phases
Research and develop innovative/emerging radar signal processing algorithms and models to integrate into the overall M&S effort to model and emulate radar capabilities
Develop and maintain simulation models of radar systems for performance evaluation and scenario testing, aiding in the design and refinement of radar algorithms
Communicate complex technical ideas and present clear, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels
Identify system performance bottlenecks and propose actionable recommendations for improvement
Maintain and update technical documentation for individual models, systems, and components, ensuring comprehensive documentation of the full system
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
U.S. Citizenship is required
Active Secret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field
Strong analytical skills with an ability to break down and resolve complex technical issues.
Three to six years of relevant experience including:
Familiarity with commonly used programming and scripting languages (e.g., C/C++, Python) and operating environments, and an ability to learn other coding languages as needed
Design, development, and testing of software algorithms, applications and components
Developing system and sub-system level models
Using and testing hardware-in-the-loop systems (desired but not required)
Collaborative version control
Familiarity with radar architectures and the signal processing chain to develop accurate simulation models
Flexibility to adapt to new tools and situations as project requirements evolve.

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
