Responsibilities:
Responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of production, and research systems on the unclassified and classified networks. Duties include updating to new systems, re-configuring existing systems for new missions as well as support on current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system and application patches.
Provide on-site daily operations support for current and future systems, backups and user account management on the unclassified and classified networks. Install and maintain software environment (COTS and/or custom software).
Perform infrastructure (security, software, and storage) installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Recommend and participate in the discussions for technology upgrade/changes, and the required software and hardware requirements, advantages and impacts on the organization.
Qualifications:
BS degree and 5+ years’ experience
IAT Level II baseline certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
OS Certification must have within 3 months of Start Date (RHCSA, Linux+, etc.)
Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher
Ability to obtain Top Secret SSBI.
Preferred/Desired Skills with at least two of the following:
BS degree in related field.
Experience with TFTP and DHCP for booting servers
Experience with SELinux and RPM package management
Experience with x86_64, ppc64le and aarch64 architectures
Experience with Windows Active Directory – Managing Group Policy, Managing Windows DNS, and Managing Windows DHCP
Experience with McAfee HBSS, installing modules, removing modules, developing policies, and policy enforcement.
Experience with scanning systems using ACAS, determining remediation requirements and follow-up with system owners.
Experience with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) Experience with automation tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
Experience reading and implementing STIG requirements on Windows and Linux. systems as well as peripheral systems (Network switches, COTS Applications)
Experience with iSCSI SANs, configuring LUNs, snapshots, and providing access to hosts.
Experience with container technology including Docker, Podman and Singularity
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Gafana and Zabbix
Experience provisioning and managing user accounts and permissions across a variety of software applications and systems.
Ability to modify or create scripts Bash.
Ability to multi-task work as part of a dedicated team.
Excellent technical, communication (written & oral) and time management skills.
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
