Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Maintenance Systems Engineer to support on-going systems development, fielding and product support for Army Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (CRAM) Radar systems at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. This position includes opportunities to influence the Army's next generation of radar systems and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain program schedules including logic-based networks for programs/systems.
Assess planned (Government and/or OEM contractor) schedules against contract dates and other known and/or schedule events.
Perform critical path analysis on both contractor and Government schedules.
Assist in managing program risk assessments for all schedule development and modifications associated with both software programs and hardware development, maintenance.
Provide insights and perform schedule assessment techniques.
Evaluate COTS software scheduling/assessment tools.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical field
5+ years' experience working as a Systems Engineer for Army radar, C5ISR, RF, or Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems
5+ years' experience working as a Systems Engineer or Systems Integrator or Army radar systems
5 years' experience in the DOD 5000 acquisition process, supporting the acquisition aspects of program management, scheduling, trade-off analysis, lifecycle costing, risk management, and supportability
Experience developing and maintaining Army acquisition program schedules and performing schedule risk assessments
Ability to collect and use metrics to develop process improvements
Knowledgeable in the software development life cycle and software quality assurance.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
Possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
Possess and demonstrate the ability to self-start, set priorities, and work both independently and within a team environment under deadlines
An active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance is required, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
