In this role you will analyze existing systems and define, design, develop, implement and integrate moderately complex technical products and systems. You will be a member of a team comprised of system engineers and application and hardware engineers/developers for the design of unique subsystems that will be ultimately integrated into the overall operational systems platform.
Participates as a member of a team comprised of system engineers, test engineers and application and hardware engineers/developers for the design, implementation and integration of unique subsystems that will be ultimately integrated into the overall operating platform.
May serve as team facilitator in providing technical guidance to stakeholders, and other technical personnel as required.
Assesses architecture, interfaces, data needs and functional requirements of complex and layered systems.
Gathers product and application functional and performance requirements.
Implement interfaces between applications and systems to support the exchange of data and the utilization of core capabilities provided by the software infrastructure.
Defines and designs complex system specifications, input/output processes, and working interface/APIs for hardware/software compatibility.
May provide technical direction, analysis and implementation suggestions of products by coordinating the implementation efforts of other software engineers and application hardware engineers/developers.
Reviews the completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements

Understand needs and develop/allocate complex systems level requirements.
Review, develop and document system of systems integration points and level operational concepts and applications needs for integration into base architecture.
Research and develop complex systems designs and architectures
Verify and validate aspects of systems designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
Produce and/or review technical documents, specifications and standards.
Develop software flow diagrams for the product.
Interface with internal external organizations.
4+ years of related experience
Degree in Computer Science and/or technology degree from an accredited institution
Active Secret clearance
Familiarity with virtual machines (VM), Linux and/or Windows environments
Requirements and Verification Development
Strong writing skills with the ability to create technical documentation
Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket/Stash)
Experience with Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE)
Exposure to DODAF methodologies
MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, Rational Rose or similar experience for modeling and architecture
CCNA Certification is a plus
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
