Parsons is seeking an experienced Engineer to provide onsite support to C5ISR CCDC Army Research Laboratory (ARL) in Adelphi, MD. The ideal candidate should have an BS in engineering (electrical, computer, software) and relevant experience supporting Army mission problem sets related to human-machine interaction and information distillation and prioritization utilizing machine learning approaches. The candidate will support projects involving deep learning models, object detection, data analytics, and visualizations in 3D environments. Candidate should possess excellent oral and verbal communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work across a diverse team and customer base of scientists, engineers, technicians, military and government contractors and civilians, industry, team leads, and management. Must be able to clearly communicate results of analysis and assessments and recommend new approaches and solutions.
Perform research and development in conjunction with Army government and contract staff for Army-focused problems related to engineering and software programming applications
Utilize machine/deep learning approaches with TensorFlow, computer vision, neural networks, and other frameworks for Army applications
Execute proof-of-concept development for hardware and software systems and applications
Utilize modeling and simulation tools to advance research, design, development, and performance objectives
Contribute to technical paper writing and presentation as required for conferences and symposia
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and 8+ years of related work experience
Proficiency in Machine Learning/Deep Learning, Convolutional Neural Networks, Edge Computing/Internet of Things, Data Analytics, Sensor Technologies, Data Visualization, and Autonomous Sensing
Programming Skills: C/C++. Python, Java, Docker, Unity, GIT
Prior experience supporting Army research and development efforts in a laboratory environment
This position requires the selected candidates to hold an active Department of Defense security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
