Corrective Action Program Coordinator

Minimum Education Requirement

 BS/BA or five years experience working in assurance, quality management, safety management, or related fields

Minimum Experience Requirement(s)

 Job Related Experience: Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office Software

 Nuclear Experience: 5 years related experience in commercial nuclear power or at nuclear facilities within DOE complex. Two years of experience must be related to issue identification, evaluation, and reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must understand the concepts of continuous improvement, including issue or problem identification, classification/categorization, extent of condition reviews, causal analysis, effectiveness review and a understanding of assessments and audits. Must have a working-level knowledge of DOE directives, regulations and industry standards governing issue management and corrective action programs. Must have good writing, communications and software skills. Must have the ability to work with minimal direction and the ability to work with all levels of management to ensure compliance with DOE directives, regulation and standards in developing complete and credible closure packages for condition reports.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Coordinate the Corrective Action Program; including initial categorization, initial assignments, coordinating issue transfers, and extensions of issues in the Corrective Action Management System;

 Monitor corrective actions for effectiveness, i.e., the correct programmatic cause of the deficiency is corrected and institutionalized;

 Ensure completion of Effectiveness Reviews for corrective actions;

 Perform Effectiveness Reviews at the discretion of the Assurance Manager;

 Prepare the quarterly SWPF Occurrence Reporting and Processing System (ORPS) Performance Analysis, evaluating inputs from ORPS, CRs, NCRs, OSHA Recordable Injuries, and Parsons Corporate Safety and Health reports;

 Perform extent of condition review and cause analysis for issues identified in the quarterly performance analysis report;

 Maintain an Employee Concerns program; and

 Perform oversight of the project's Integrated Assessment Program to provide assurance that identified issues are processed in accordance with Project procedures
