Wet Utilities Design Engineer

Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will contribute towards timely and efficient production of quality designs .

What You'll Be Doing:

• Apply basic principles to design conditions well defined by code with supervision

• Apply basic engineering principles to analyses

• Prepare analytical models with moderately advanced engineering software and researches how engineering principles are applied in the software with supervision

• Produce clear and well-organized design calculations

• Independently review technical documents to develop understanding of engineering principles used in analyses

• Contribute as a productive team member to meet project deadlines.

• Contribute quantity take-offs to cost estimates

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master Degree or higher preferred) in civil Engineering

• Typically 3+ years experience within role preferred

• Professional registration/certificates may be required

• Ability to apply a variety of engineering principles, techniques, and analyses within civil engineering discipline.

• Understand how to read design plans and profiles

• Able to select applicable standard specifications with oversight

• Working knowledge of engineering software packages associated with the engineering discipline. Digitally proficient

• Understanding QA/QC standard practices and procedures

• Understanding of duration and level of effort for each task

• Managing personal schedule for task assignments

• Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) on technical and non-technical subjects.

• May provide technical guidance to Designer

• May interface with clients on matters relating to work assignments.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Developing proficiency with standard detailing practices

• Developing basic detailing sketches for design plans with supervision
