Parsons Corporation Quality Lead in Al-Sinaiyah, Saudi Arabia
Job Description:
Due to the increased productivity at the Yanbu Industrial City Program and the ever increasing size of the Construction Department Team, Parsons are looking to hire a Qualit Lead that will provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) support activities on assigned functional areas of the projects to ensure that all Construction Aspects of Project Deliverables are in accordance with the client’s, and projects contractual obligations / specifications.
The role will report direct to the Construction Department Manager with a function duty to the Program Quality Manager and will regularly interact with representatiives across other Parsons' Departments, The Client and external stakeholders across the various projects.
This roles offer excelletn growth opportunuity within Parsons and you will get to work in the evolving City of Yanbu along the coast of the Red Sea. Ensuring that quality assurance and control are implemented throughout all as aspects of Construction and Projects across the Program.
What You'll Be Doing:
Review Scope of Services documentation and develop project procedures, guidelines and instructions.
Develop maintain Quality Management Plan and support documentation for all construction related activities and functions.
Initiate, develop, implement Project Quality Audit and Surveillance Schedule, the level, type and frequency of required audits.
Implements the Quality system in the assigned department(s) and supports the assigned department in all quality matters.
Assists overall program in further developing the QA/QC Quality system including preparation and updating of processes and procedures as required.
Actively engages, initiating developing, advising and supporting overall program in Quality System leadership using the latest ISO Quality standard.
Supports Program Quality Manager in meeting ISO Quality standard requirements.
Ensures that Parsons and clients’ quality requirements are met for products and services provided, by verifying compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements.
To plan periodic inspection activities and surveillances.
Initiates, develops, manages the Corrective Action/ Preventive Action and Non-conformance tracking program development including defining requirements and future administration and support of a unified system to include tracking of NCR’s, CAR’s, Audit Findings, KPIs etc.
To conduct audits to verify that plans and procedures are being followed and documentary evidence is produced and maintained.
To coordinate with the functional team and plan in advance any necessary inspections and testing activities.
Work closely the functional teams to maintain surveillance of quality.
Undertake review in conjunction with the functional teams for visual verification of procedure adherence, feedback from NCR’s, feedback from progress meetings and individual reporting of concerns from general workforce, Supervisors and Management.
Ensure QA/QC compliance through surveillance or via QC reporting to include visual feedback or written reporting.
Ensure and act decisively to curtail bad practice, waste and or non - value adding activities.
Explain likely derogatory effects of bad practice, in a manner easily understandable to relevant recipients.
Initiate, develop and engage in supply chain QC compliance On\off site.
Attend at FATS & SATS dependent on the individual materials, tests or services being under inspection\ test as required by the role.
Produce daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports to high standard and detail, reporting will include initiating, developing information for presentation dashboards to include amongst other items of QA\QC KPI’s, metrics etc.
Effectively manage staff within their team as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Quality discipline obtained from a recognized Western University.
A minimum of 10 years work experience in the field of Quality.
Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ certification (CMQ/CQE.). Active membership in a nationally recognized Quality organization.
Experience of QA / QC within a diverse Construction Supervision Department.
Exposure to a wide range of Construction Project Types inlcuding buildings and infrastructure.
Excellent spoken and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively is a must including giving presentations.
Positive, outgoing, resilient, and culturally sensitive approach to stakeholder engagement.
Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Project Planning skills are essential.
Strong working knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems Standards.
