Job Description:

Parsons is hiring a senior Software Engineer to support the Data Tracking and Monitoring team that delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

  • Debug existing software and designs and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

  • Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects

  • Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams

  • Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering

  • Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph

  • Minimum 10 years' related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Experience developing production software for Solaris or Linux OS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Voice or video processing systems requiring ingest of multiple audio and video formats, content search and retrieval of large amounts of data

  • Peer to peer content storage and retrieval systems

  • Metadata indexing, mining, visualization, and analytics

  • Experience developing RESTful services

  • Experience developing software using the Java, C, or C++ Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams

  • Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering

  • Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

  • Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to one or more teams and monitor their performance

Salary Range:

$121,900.00 - $219,400.00
