Job Description:

Parsons is hiring a Web Application Developer experienced in building user interfaces, preferably with the Angular framework. This opening is for a recently awarded program supporting Analytic & Analyst Investigation Frameworks. The team delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms. The software development work involves taking prototype features and integrating them into the web application.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements

  • Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements

  • Document test results and resolve software problem reports

  • Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment

  • Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions in place of new development

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ poly

  • Minimum 6 years related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Experience developing production software for Solaris or Linux OS

  • Java, C and/or C++ skills, and some experience developing RESTful services.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects

  • Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams and monitor their performance

  • Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering

  • Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

  • Experience with voice or video processing systems on multiple audio and video formats

  • Experience with peer-to-peer content storage and retrieval systems, metadata indexing, summarization, data mining, visualization, and analytics

Salary Range:

$121,900.00 - $219,400.00
