Are you ready to put your 5G Technology and Security expertise to work on complex projects in support of an exciting customer mission? Are you great with people and have a track record of delivering innovative and secure systems to satisfy the customer's mission?
Parsons is now hiring an experienced 5G Technical Consultant with the desire support innovative and future-leaning telecommunications projects. You will be responsible for enhancing government customer capabilities while addressing security challenges.
The ideal candidate will act as a trusted consultant and collaborate with the government customer on various projects related to the future of 5G technology supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Provide technical expertise and associated program management support to the OUSD Beyond 5G Lead
Provide technical inputs for Beyond 5G BAA development and assist with proposal evaluation and selection
Author program plans, technical documents, and presentations as required
Organize and host programmatic and technical discussions with industry, academia, and government
Coordinate with OUSD personnel on contracting and program execution; assist with providing briefings as required
Perform portfolio oversight and assisting Beyond 5G lead on post-award program management
Assist Beyond 5G Lead with other support activities as required to ensure efficient and timely program execution
Master's degree in telecommunications, computer science or computer engineering with a specialization in wireless communications/networking from an accredited college or university
15+ years of experience performing the responsibilities listed above
Background in wireless systems analysis/research, deployment/testing, and operations with a knowledge of 5G
Experience in industry and/or government programs
Prior experience with management, planning and execution of government sponsored technical programs
U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level security clearance.
PhD in telecommunications or computer science with a concentration in wireless systems
Multiple years of defense program R&D related experience or equivalent in industry/academia
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
