Job Description:

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking for a great client and to join a dependable, highly ethical organization? Parsons is seeking a Commercial Management Director for a major mixed used development.

The selected candidate will have an in depth knowledge of commercial, cost, procurement, and contract management, and will be our point of contact with the client. You will be integral to helping execute existing work by assuring commercial management activities undertaken during design and construction stages result in high cost certainty, value add, claims avoidance and within or below, budget and in accordance with our contractual obligations. In addition to supervising Parsons' commercial management staff and third party consultants, you will build on our professional relationships with key subcontractors during the program execution. You will assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Your knowledge of the client's goals and objectives will be instrument al in discussing any changes to the scope of work or new projects, contracts with key subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Keys to your success will be your knowledge of commercial management, construction costs, contract management, and ability to monitor our deliverables for adherence to client criteria as well as help execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of this very important program.

Qualifications:

25+ years of commercial management experience on high value, complex and prestigious projects, including tall towers, large scale retail, and high quality residential and hospitality. Experience in the management of leading international design consultants would be advantageous.

Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background

Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution

Professional registration as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS), or similar is required

Ability and willingness to travel nationally to support client and project teams
