Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for a great client and to join a dependable, highly ethical organization? Parsons is seeking a Principal Project Manager for a national design and construction management program.
The selected candidate will have an in depth knowledge of design management and construction technologies, and will be our point of contact with the client. You will be integral to helping execute existing work by assuring design excellence is achieved by third party consultancies, on schedule completion, within or below, budget and in accordance with our contractual obligations. In addition to supervising Parsons' design management staff, you will build on our professional relationships with key subcontractors during the program execution. You will assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Your knowledge of the client's goals and objectives will be instrument al in discussing any changes to the scope of work or new projects, contracts with key subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Keys to your success will be your knowledge of design management, construction techniques, ability to monitor our deliverables for adherence to client criteria as well as help execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of this very important program.
20+ years of design management experience on high value, complex and prestigious projects, including tall towers, large scale retail, and high quality residential and hospitality. Experience in the management of leading international design consultants would be advantageous.
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution
Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA), or similar is required
Ability and willingness to travel nationally to support client and project teams
