Job Description:

Ready to put your inspection skills to work with departments and teams that change the fabric of our community? Do you have a great attention to detail? Put your inspection expertise to work on complex projects. Parsons is now hiring a Senior Inspector for our rapidly expanding team.

We are looking for an experienced Structural Construction Inspector , to join our amazing team in Atlanta to support Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. In this role, you will perform moderately complex quality control inspection activities to ensure that structural projects are delivered in accordance with contract documents and customer requirements related to the construction of a concrete parking structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee field construction of contractors for renovation and new projects in an operational airport.

  • Schedule and supervise agency and quality assurance acceptance testing

  • Review project documents for constructability prior to bidding.

  • Coordinate construction activities with airport operations and maintenance groups.

  • Review and interpret plans, specifications, and airfield policies. Review submittals, request for change and pay applications.

  • Prepare inspection documents including daily inspection reports.

  • Maintain knowledge of codes.

  • Implements inspection, examination, and testing procedures and records inspection, examination, and testing data.

  • Plans inspections, evaluations, and tests; setting up tests, including preparation and set-up of related equipment

  • Evaluates the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination and testing results and reports inspection, examination and testing results.

  • Documents and communicates inspection results in a clear and concise manner.

  • Understands contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years related construction experience.

  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.

  • Very good analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company.

  • Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

  • Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis and retention of quality records.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Concrete inspection certifications

  • Airport construction experience or complex commercial construction experience

  • Concrete parking deck construction experience

Salary Range:

$29.42 - $59.33
