Job Description:

Ready for a challenge that will keep you on the cutting edge of information technology? The National Tactical Systems (NTS) team works closely with our government customers on innovative solutions and capabilities that support national defense and intelligence community programs and is looking for a Systems Engineer with a focus on research, innovation and solving mission critical challenges.

In this position you will be supporting the design, development, integration, and operations of the National Tactical Data Manager (NTDM) system. You will work with customer sponsors and teams of developers to determine the best way to provide mission supporting capabilities. You will be working at Parsons offices in the / Denver area and/or at Buckley AFB, 3 days a week onsite and 2 days remote a week . You will work with customer sponsors and Parsons developers to determine the best way to provide national and tactical situation awareness capabilities.

You will oversee customer requirements through the development lifecycle and assist in deploying, configuring and administering software releases to development, test, and operational environments. You will be expected to assist with the administration of virtual and bare-metal environments to integrate hardware and software technologies. You will have the opportunity to think critically, solve problems, and engineer solutions across multiple technologies as required. This position will offer you the opportunity to be a key player and to inject your creativity, vision, and perspective into the overall design process of this cutting-edge system.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field. Relevant domain experience may be accepted in place of a degree

  • Experience in requirements management

  • Experience in enterprise systems and operational requirements analysis and development

  • Experience in networking and system management

  • Experience with National Intelligence systems, data, and processes

  • Experience with Navy tactical platforms and operations

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Active Top Secret SCI clearance required

  • CI Poly

  • Any DoD 8570 Level II Baseline Certification: Security + or CISSP

Desired Skills:

  • Computer Science or Software Engineering degree

  • Working knowledge of development of web applications (Wildfly, Postgres, GeoServer, AgularJS, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of administering Windows, Linux and virtual environments

  • Experience with Link 16 and JREAP tactical data link networks

  • Experience with the National and Tactical Data Manager (NTDM) System

  • Experience with JIRA or similar issue tracking systems

  • Working knowledge of the US intelligence community and DOD systems

Anticipated compensation (median) for this position: $118,000 annually. However, Parsons considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, clearance level, education/training, and key skills.

This position pays a minimum annual salary of $67,400.00 and a maximum annual salary of $118,000.00.
