Parsons is supporting the Kern County College District to renovate and revitalize their entire campus in Bakersfield. As Project Managers and Construction Managers for this long-term project we are working with a Board of Directors that is excited, motivated, and funded to upgrade the school facilities for the next generation of students. This is one of the largest projects underway in the locale and an excellent assignment for the professional who likes to get things done. Working on campus, the Procurement/Contracts professional will be one of our key managers on the project. We offer a competitive salary and relocation benefits. For candidates based in the Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay Area who are unable to relocate commuting support can be made available.
The Senior Procurement/Contracts Manager will lead and perform both procurement and contract management duties for this program. The successful candidate will handle the solicitation and selection activities leading to the award of contracts for owner required services involving design-builders, contractors, consultants, suppliers and vendors, and oversight of these contracts through post-award. Through the application of effective management and contract compliance practices youwill work to provide an open and fair solicitation process leading to a competitive selection process and award of a contract that is consistent with the objectives of the owner and the project. During the project delivery stage, you will prepare and provide for the mitigation and settlement of changes and claims through effective collaboration with program staff, owner contracting officials, and legal counsel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
Advanced degree or Juris Doctorate a plus.
At least 15 years ofprime contract management experience on large scale infrastructure programs or projects required.
Candidates should have working knowledge of industry business practices in contract management and administration, including contract formation, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution.
Vertical construction experience preferred
