Under general supervision, participates in the development, execution, administration, and coordination of all technical aspects on a large and complex transit radio and cellular infrastructure replacement project/program. Incumbent is also responsible for coordinating with subcontractors to assure contract compliance and the acceptability of materials and supplies.
Performs office engineering assignments involving the development, execution, administration, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule. Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
Coordinates with subcontractors to assure contract compliance and acceptability of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Develops discipline construction schedules and monitors' progress. Provides schedule and progress appraisal reports.
Initiates and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
Experience with radio and cellular infrastructure installation highly preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 4+ years of experience in field construction projects is required.
Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and a familiarity with other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.
Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Requires knowledge of electronic document management systems and best practices.
Very good attention to detail.
