Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a professional, energetic Cyber Security Systems Engineer who has experience deploying, utilizing, and maintaining cybersecurity tools and network environments in support of Defensive Cyberspace Operations. In this role, your knowledge of cyberspace operations and cybersecurity tool implementations will be put to the test as you collaborate with your teammates to make your customer’s requirements become reality. This position will allow for a hybrid work schedule.

Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop visualizations compiling data from a variety of sources to drive customer understanding and decision making

  • Create, manage, and maintain virtual network environments for customer use and tool testing/ development

  • Test, evaluate, and provide feedback on tools developed and integrated into capability packages

  • Participate in the CI/CD pipeline applying Agile methodologies

  • Participate in customer engagements and provide high-quality customer support

  • Deploy suites of cybersecurity tools and capability packages on various hardware platforms

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. (A combination of education and demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.)

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience

  • Experience cybersecurity practices and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO)

  • Experience creating dashboard visualizations with tools such as Kibana

  • Experience deploying virtual network environments

  • Experience managing and troubleshooting network environments

  • Experience with container-based systems such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience providing customer support

  • Excellent testing skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with data parsers and data ingest methodologies

  • Knowledge of analytics

  • Experience working with the Big Data Platform (BDP)

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and the CI/CD pipeline

Salary Range:

$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
