Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to provide critical management support to the Assistant Project Manager (APM) of the Radio System Activation in the Radio and Cellular Infrastructure Rehabilitation Department.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensures progress tracking is transparent and up to date. Tracking and reporting progress of key performance indicators (KPI’s)

  • Serves as training and development liaison for the Radio Systems Activation Committee.

  • Serve as stakeholder communication coordinator. Clearly defining channels and frequency of communication with stakeholders, including communication and operations departments, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.

  • Process Improvement and Risk Management: Identifying risks, assessment, and mitigations to ensure that projects stay on track and within scope. To ensure easy access and retrieval of document control, manage robust documentation through Procore Construction software applications. All project-related documents and records are stored in Procore.

  • To streamline tasks and ensure efficiency for project management, scheduling, communication, and reporting, manage tasks through Microsoft Tools using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams applications, and SharePoint. Project Milestones and Deadlines are priority and should be communicated regularly.

  • Assist the project team in planning for and achieving Safety Certification of the radio system

  • Assist in the evaluation of organizational change needs and impacts, and implement plans to ensure the successful awareness, use and lifecycle management of the radio system

  • Serve as the backup point of contact for the Contractor and WMATA safety and quality inspectors when on site construction issues need to be resolved or technical direction is necessary

  • Support and assist the project Safety Manager and the project Quality Manager in the enforcement of safety and quality compliance by reviewing and providing detailed feedback on reports and ensuring NCRs and other issues are resolved. Actively promote a safety-oriented culture

  • Maintain and monitor the performance of the project against the KPIs established for both the Project Work and the Project Quality Plan and provide reports to the management team as required

  • Serve as a backup for overseeing the inspection of construction activities by WMATA and MSI inspectors, ensuring compliance with Authority-approved plans and specifications. Conduct site visits, review inspectors' daily reports, and participate in substantial completion and final inspections of completed work in collaboration with Quality and SAFE teams.

  • Prepare project-related correspondence to consultants, contractors, Authority officials, and other agencies, including progress reports, issue reports, change order documents, and recommendations to the project management team as requested

  • Assist the Assistant Project Manager in ensuring the timely provision of project financial information, including monthly accrual and budget forecasts, with the necessary supporting documentation.

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Project Manager in delivering timely project financial information, including monthly accrual and budget forecasts, substantiated with appropriate backup documentation.

  • Collaborate with the Assistant Project Manager in the preparation of assigned progress reports, encompassing financial and PMOC reports as necessary.

  • Oversee the timely construction of above-ground, below-ground sites, hand-held radios, and systems, ensuring seamless coordination with operational departments to minimize operational disruptions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must be in the DC, MD, VA area and be available to work in the office and field locations 3-5 days per week

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (or equivalent)

  • 4+ years’ related work experience is required

  • Enrollment in PM certification program is preferred, but not required.

  • Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.

Salary Range:

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
