Are you working on your degree in the field of civil or environmental engineering and looking for an internship opportunity over the summer of 2019?How would you like to gain some real-world experience?

As a summer intern, you will assist with theEnvironmental Remediation Market, which performs environmental investigation, characterization and clean-up services nationwide for Federal clients, primarily the Department of Defense (DoD) in their environmental-related missions. Our work supporting the environment includes: identification, investigation, evaluation, and remediation of surface and subsurface sites contaminated with hazardous waste and munitions. Location:Boston, MA.

Let’s talk about what youwill be doing:

  • You will participate in field activities: makeobservations, collect samples, performs routine tests, and maintaindocumentation.

  • Prepare required field and office reports of variousactivities and findings.

  • You may also prepare mapping and exhibits, preferablythrough ArcGIS or Adobe Illustrator, for reports and presentations.

  • Research and gather statistics/related data forperiodic and special one-time reports.

  • Reviews, verifies, and formats research into reportsfor use within and outside the unit.

  • Prepares accompanying correspondence and distributesreports as directed.

Here’s what we’relooking for:

  • Currently enrolled in an environmental, civilengineering, or related field such as: chemical engineering, geology, orenvironmental science.

  • 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • Junior or seniors preferred.

  • Someone who is eager to learn and implement theengineering concepts associated with environmental investigation, remedialdesign, and remedial actions.

  • Focus on details with a high level of organizational,written, and communication skills.

  • Strong team player that can work independently and on ateam.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • US Citizenship required.
