Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing Mission Solutions Team in Aurora, Colorado! This position is onsite only; expected hours M-F 0800-1700. Some periodic travel between Boulder and Aurora expected for planned deployments.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Providing onsite (Aurora, Colorado) Tier I and II systems administration and hardware support in a primarily Red Hat/ESXi environment utilizing Active Directory

  • Maintaining site patch baseline and required information systems security requirements as inherited from the development environment and as dictated by site security posture

  • Managing the user account process in coordination with Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO)

  • Conducting daily walkthroughs and status checks to report daily state of the systems

  • Providing Tier I and II Storage systems administration support on SAN, iSCSI, and distributed storage solutions

  • Updating and maintaining site design artifacts as part of the overall Configuration Management Process

  • Assisting with design, capacity planning, and implementation of technical hardware and software solution to meet system requirements

  • Generating required Risk Management Framework artifacts for Approval To Operate submissions

  • Contributing to and maintain automated system build tools

  • Collaborating with the network engineering team to design and deliver network environments in accordance with the overall system design

  • Contributing as a valued member of a technical team ensuring that all required aspects of cybersecurity is built into technical solution, covering items such as: Host Based Security System (HBSS) solution, vulnerability scanning, system logging, software security, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance, etc.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

  • Active Secret Security Clearance or higher, with willingness and ability to obtain/maintain up to a TS/SCI

  • Active Security+ Certification

  • 8+ years of experience in a systems administration role with a record of steadily increasing responsibilities

  • Experience administering and provisioning local and shared storage

  • Experience with virtualized operating system concepts and administration (ESXi, Containers)

  • Experience with system automation and configuration management (e.g. Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Kickstart)

  • Experience with shell scripting languages or programming language (e.g. BASH, Python, Perl)

  • Working knowledge of security assessment/compliance products (HBSS, ACAS, OpenSCAP, ePO, SCC)

  • Must be able to work in a production/operational environment

  • Willingness for minimum travel expected between Aurora and Boulder for onboarding and planned events Experience with MS Office suite

  • Strong Troubleshooting skills

  • Strong Interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter and motivated individual with demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasking and complete with thoroughness and with minimal supervision

Desired Qualifications :

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

  • Elastic Stack experience

  • JIRA/Confluence experience

  • Experience with Visio

  • Technical leadership experience

  • Familiarity with network administration of routers, switches, and firewalls (Juniper Baseline)

  • Experience within an Agile framework environment

  • Proficient in management of virtualization, cloud and/or container technology (VMware workstation/vSphere/vCenter/ESXi, AWS EC2/S3/Glacier, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift

Salary Range:

$98,800.00 - $172,900.00
