Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Manager of Project Management Services to join our team! We are looking for a Manager of Project Management Services with experience managing and delivering projects throughout Western Canada projects from initiation to completion to join our team; one who inspires loyalty and commitment and understands design, construction, and delivering leading-edge transportation projects in our Western Canadian operations. This position requires a solid track record of managing projects and a leading team of project managers, assistant project managers, and project management technician/coordinators.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the Client Representative to facilitate the delivery of transportation projects for key government clients

  • Lead project workshops in scope definition, risk management, change management, and cost estimations

  • Seek opportunities for continuous process improvements

  • Responsible for financial and employee performance, business development, and operational excellence

  • Drive the development of the team members by coaching and supporting career development, employee engagement, recruiting and retention

  • Develop, track, and maintain project cost reports, schedules, procurement, and document management

  • Review invoices, change orders, and payments to all contractors, vendors, and consultants

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Managing multiple priorities and assignments successfully

  • Adept at communicating effectively and in a positive manner with a variety of people including Indigenous groups, technical experts, government officials, project partners and the public

  • Presenting information to external and internal audiences

  • Strong organizational skills to keep all phases of the project moving forward and keeping stakeholders informed

  • Firm understanding of all phases of transportation projects and delivery methods

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or Business (or related field)

  • Experience working on BC Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure, Alberta Transportation, Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure, and/or Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation projects

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from Project Management Institute
