Job Description:
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a great client and to join a dependable, highly ethical organization? Parsons is seeking a Senior Project Manager for large projects in our Western Canada design and construction management program.
The selected candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of design and construction, and will be our point of contact with the client. You will be integral to helping execute existing work and developing new projects by assuring on schedule completion, within or below budget, and in accordance with our contractual obligations. In addition to supervising Parsons’ staff, you will build on our professional relationships with key subcontractors during the program execution. You will assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Your knowledge of the client’s goals and objectives will be instrumental in discussing any changes to the scope of work, contracts with key subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Keys to your success will be your knowledge of design and construction, ability to monitor our deliverables for adherence to client criteria on multidiscipline projects as well as help execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of this very important program.
Qualifications:
15 + years of related project execution and/or program management experience on same or similar large scope design and construction management projects with a civil/structural background.
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution
Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
Ability and willingness to travel within Western Canada to support client and project teams.
