Provides war fighting function expertise in general support to the MCTSP and will provide nationwide support when required. Primarily supports the MTC’s Area Of Responsibility (AOR) but will be prepared to flex In Support Of other MTCs as directed by the MCTSP Program Manager. Provides the necessary management, training advisors and doctrinal subject matter experts (SME) required to provide Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G)training support services to ARNG Commanders and Soldiers with a focus on pre-mobilization and collective war fighting tasks IAW the ARFORGEN model, and other pre-mobilization training requirements outlined in Army Regulations (AR). Provides doctrinal training subject matter expertise to support live and constructive mission command training. Plans, coordinates, prepares, and conducts battle CPXs, Integrated STAFFEXs, Section STAFFEXs, Fires EXs LOGEXs, Digital COMMEXs, Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) workshops, Tactical Operations Center (TOC) proficiency training and other supporting events / activities associated with these exercises. These training events will be conducted at the MTC or via MTT. Task organizing of teams to meet reduced War fighting Function specific training requirements will be authorized and encouraged to meet reduced training demands that do not require a full DTT. May plan for and execute Concept Development Conferences (CDCs), including site surveys, for ARNG Brigades and Battalions to participate in DTT rotational events. Plans for and executes doctrinally current Section STAFFEXs for ARNG Brigades and Battalions to provide commanders and staffs the opportunity to develop and apply war-fighting skills using the framework of the MDMP. Develops doctrinally current training materials including higher command operations orders, reports, briefings and leads requested workshops. Coaches, teaches, and mentors units during the conduct of Section STAFFEXs in order to assist the commander in achieving their training objectives. Provides “doctrinally correct textbook solutions” upon request to training units for staff products and exercises at the conclusion of each training event. Plans for and executes constructive (Integrated (Full) STAFFEX) in coordination with other elements of the MCTSP for ARNG units, to provide commanders and staffs the opportunity to exercise operations orders developed in Section STAFFEXs. Must be knowledgeable of not only the doctrine for the specific unit type, but also best use of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for the type of unit supported. Provides on-site feedback to unit Commanders and appropriate staff members in the form of informal discussions. Prepares a Final Exercise Report (FER) that addresses the planning, preparation and execution of each fully executed DTT rotation. FERs will be provided to the Training Analysis Feedback Team (TAFT). Attends command-designated briefings, working groups, and in-process reviews/program management reviews associated with planning for and the execution of DTT rotational events. Provides doctrinal advisory assistance, briefing support, and assistance with command initiatives to include special reports, meetings, white papers, and other command initiatives. Conducts annual refresher training for all DTT personnel to maintain continuity of operations, sustain doctrinal currency, and certify all Contractor instructors..
Previous senior Army/ARNG leadership position with 5+ years of experience, which could include the following:
Training management background and Combat Training Center (CTC) experience (or similar).
2or more years working with and using Computer Assisted Training exercises.
Recent experience working within the National Guard training support system, or a similar system.
6years of combined staff experience within the specific War Fighting Function (or similar).
8years of specialized experience in this type MCTSP duty position or a similar position.
MEL 4, MEL 1 preferred (or similar).
Must remain in good standing with installation authorities and maintain installation access.
A combat arms, combat support, or combat service support officer with primary staff experience in the specific primary War Fighting Function at battalion, brigade, and/or division level (or similar).
Previous battalion or higher commander preferred (or similar).
War Fighter Function area Army Mission Command System qualification(s).
U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement.
