Construction Engineer Specialist - Los Angeles

Opportunity :

Our Parsons infrastructure division in the Los Angeles area is seeking to hire a Construction Engineer Specialist to support critical transportation construction client projects in Southern and Northern California.

In this role, you will perform a variety of engineering and project tasks to support multiple projects. This is a virtual or hybrid remote based role in the greater Los Angeles area.

Scope of Duties :

• Perform engineering assignments involving civil and related projects for multiple clients.

• Support the development and review of constructability and related plans.

• Review and interpret discipline design drawings and specifications.

Support project quality assurance goals through the review of in-process and completed designs, plans, and other documents

to ensure compliance with client, company, and other requirements.

• Support project management teams as assigned.

• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Requirements :

4-year degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 3 to 5 years of experience in field construction is required.

• Familiarity with construction practices

• Ability to prepare clear and concise oral and written communications

• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Outlook and Word

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Registered Professional Engineer is desirable, but not required.

• Familiarity with CAD and other related software applications

Skills / Competencies :

Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as some familiarity with industry practices. Also requires good written and oral communication skills, and a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $107,100.00
