Under direct supervision, performs routine and well defined quality control inspection activities on assigned project and/or functional areas to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons requirements. This is an entry level position.
Performs inspections/surveillances based on training received.
Interacts cross-functionally with project team members and management.
Implements inspection, examination, and testing procedures, and records inspection, examination, and testing data.
Performs and documents inspections of subcontractor work.
Performs First-Article / In-Process Inspection as needed (may include source inspection).
Ensures compliance to HSE requirements applicable for their work scope.
Documents and communicates inspection results in a clear and concise manner.
Understands contract requirements and subcontractor(s) contract requirements.
Performs other functions associated with this position as appropriate.
Leads small team performing installation and small construction projects.
Coordinates with the primary project stakeholders including FAA clientele.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Associate's Degree in the appropriate construction discipline and typically up to 5 years related construction experience or a High School/Trade School diploma and equivalent work experience (3+ years) is required. Additional years of education beyond the minimum requirement are considered equivalent to years of related work experience.
It is anticipated that individuals will be certified to perform r inspect activities in one or more of the following areas (or subjects): Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding, Non-Destructive Examination, Receiving, and Special Processes.
Requires the ability to communicate clearly.
Familiarity with data collection, analysis and presentation.
Computer skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access. Requires familiarity in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis and retention of quality records.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required.
Ability to identify technical problems and recommend solutions.
History of coordinating teams of three or more technical individuals.
Experience with leading technical and project status meetings.
Position requires up to 100% travel, per diem and lodging expenses are covered by company.
Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed as well as a background check by CBP. Successful completion of both background checks are required.
