Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Information Technology and Software Deployment Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to install, configuration, documentation, and test of software and hardware components that comprise prototype and operational air base self-defense systems.
This position will work in government facilities on Ramstein Air Base, Germany within the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) , the largest American military community outside the continental United States.

What You'll Be Doing:
Deploy and configure software in laboratory and operational settings
Integrate hardware, software, and network components into complete Air Base Air Defense solution
Evaluate suitability of protype Air Base Air Defense solutions to mission needs
Work across multiple security boundaries and at multiple classification levels
Develop and maintain documentation related to design and test
Will work on systems in an integration lab and in a operational environment.
Install, configuration, documentation, and test of software and hardware components that comprise prototype and operational air base self-defense systems. Specific components include servers, sensor feeds, network connections, workstations, off-the-shelf software, custom software, and custom scripts.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
CLEARANCE REQUIRED –SECRET (Must have before coming aboard)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology
7 or more years of experience integrating and deploying hardware and software on distributed information technology systems.
Expertise in developing and modifying Linux scripts and services
Experience configuring services in a Linux environment
Experience developing and using software written in Java
Experience with air and missile defense concepts
Working knowledge of Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
Working knowledge of networking principles
Working knowledge of switches, routers, and firewalls
Familiarity with network and system documentation in Visio
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience using and configuring hyperconverged computing solutions.
Experience with Docker
Experience developing and executing test plans.
Experience with one or more of the following: radars, optical sensors, missile systems, battle management systems
