Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Communications Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and Implement Communication Strategies:

• Create and execute comprehensive communication plans to support IT initiatives, projects, and changes.

• Develop communication collateral, including emails, newsletters, presentations, and reports tailored to diverse audiences.

• Content Creation:

• Produce top-quality, brand-aligned written and visual materials, like email, social media posts, presentations, knowledge articles, etc., that simplify complex technical details into easily digestible content.

• Maintain and update IT-related content on the company intranet (SharePoint), centralized knowledge base, social media, and other communication platforms.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as a liaison between the IT department and other departments, ensuring clear and effective communication.

• Facilitate and coordinate meetings, workshops, and training sessions to communicate IT changes and updates.

• Additional administrative work to support the success of the IT department, including IT Town Halls, MMR, etc.

• Technology Crisis Communication:

• Develop and implement communications for urgent IT-related issues, ensuring timely and transparent communication during incidents.

• Project Support:

• Assist in the communication aspects of IT projects, ensuring stakeholders are informed about project goals, progress, and outcomes throughout the project’s lifecycle.

• Support change management efforts by developing communication plans that facilitate smooth transitions.

• Feedback and Improvement:

• Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve IT communication strategies and materials.

• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts, adjusting as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Journalism, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in communications, technical writing, or a similar role.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Strong understanding of IT concepts, systems, and terminology is a plus.

• Fluent in digital communication mediums and multi-channel communication strategies

• Advanced proficiency using communication tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint; intranet systems; content management systems).

• Experience with project management and change management processes is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Adept at working with all levels within an organization, including executive leadership.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Familiarity with Smart Brevity

• Experience working with Salesforce, Pardot, ChatGPT, JIRA, OneDrive

• Understanding of knowledge/content management practices and how they support change management

Salary Range:

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
