Parsons works on top level cyber-security projects for national defense programs and is hiring experienced Network Engineers with a focus on research, innovation and solving mission critical challenges. The Network Engineer will design and implement data networks and support a large multi-disciplinary team of Linux System Administrators, VMWare Virtualization engineering and Security professionals.Your role will be essential to the design, implementation, validation, management, security, and delivery of these networks and computing systems. Education and Clearance Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Security, Network Administration, System Administration or related field along with 8+ years of related work experience. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD TS security clearance by the U.S. Government.
The Network Engineer must have extensive experience in the following areas:
Network Device Administration
Switch with VLAN Configuration
Router with Routing Protocols (RIP, BGP, OSPF)
VPN (IPSEC) Configuration
L3 Switch (VLAN and Routing Protocols)
SOHO device configuration
802.11 Wireless network configuration
Cisco IOS Experience with CCNA Preferred
Juniper JunOS Experience
Network Tool Experience
- Wireshark, Netcat, nmap, iperf, traceroute, nessus
VMWare Virtual Networking Configuration
PfSense virtual appliance configuration
Network Services Administration
- DHCP, DNS, VoIP
Network Protocol Understanding
- IP, TCP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, IPSec, HTTPS, HTTP, SSL, SSH, FTP
Cyber Security Administration
Firewall Configuration, Access Control Lists, and IP Tables rules
DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) scans.
Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
