Parsons Federal is seeking a Planning Specialist to join a large, complex cyber program supporting the DoD. The right candidate will coordinate planning of purchasing and manufacturing tasks for the program. The Planning Specialist will reside within the Manufacturing group and will support day-to-day planning operations including equipment purchases, coordination of the delivery of equipment, logistics, distribution of procured equipment for assembly, risk management, and scheduling deliverables. This role requires excellent organization skills, communication and an eye for details.

Responsibilities

·Provides support to Manufacturing Lead on factors affecting the timely completion of products produced by Parsons within the Manufacturing department.

·Coordinates purchases, delivery of equipment, logistics, distribution of procured equipment for assembly.

·Work closely with other Manufacturing staff to continuously refine planning of delivered equipment

·Coordinates with procurement staff to facilitate efficient procurement timelines

·Coordinates with project control staff to update spend plan

·Performs analysis of purchase, delivery and assembly schedules established with MS Project

·Advises of risk in schedule and makes recommendations to mitigate risks

·Analyzes progress reports against the delivery schedule

·This is a full-time position, based in Centreville, VA.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

4-year degree in Engineering or Finance or related field (or equivalent experience) and 8+ years of related work experience.

Knowledge of Contracts and Subcontracts, difference in IDIQ Task Order Award.

Must know Cost Point.

Must be a proficient operator of Microsoft Project.

Candidate must be a US Citizen with an active security clearance by the U.S. Government.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

Requires basic engineering knowledge in computer, financial, procurement, or a related field. Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven communications and leadership capabilities, as well as familiarity with industry practices is required.
