Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Scientist/Deputy Project Geophysicist to join our team! In this role, you will get to work closely with Project Managers and Project Geophysicists supporting MMRP investigations and remediation projects. In addition, you will be supporting the Site Geophysicists and field teams and providing them with your expertise and best practices.
What You'll Be Doing:
Contribute to proposals for contracts or task orders
Assisting with the development of geophysical technical approaches for MMRP projects
Provide technical oversight and direction during field work phase of projects
Perform geophysical surveys with a variety of DGM and AGC geophysical sensors (PDM8®, EM61-MK2, MetalMapper2x2, MPV, APEX and UltraTEM)
Perform geophysical data processing and analysis for data collected with a variety of DGM and AGC geophysical sensors (PDM8®, EM61-MK2, MetalMapper2x2, MPV, APEX and UltraTEM)
Analyze and interpret data using associated software (Geosoft's Oasis Montaj, EM Class, and BT Field)
Demonstrating capabilities under Parsons DAGCAP program
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
At least 10 years of munitions response geophysical work experience
Four-year degree in geophysics, geology, or related field
Good writing and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of field experience with geophysical equipment and positioning systems
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence required (government project work)
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with APEX or EM Class geophysical data processing software
Experience with advanced geophysical data collection and processing
DAGCAP Certification

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
