Job Description:
Parsons is hiring multiple Civil/Environmental Engineers with Professional Engineering licenses in the State of California for our rapidly expanding West Coast environmental remediation practice.
In this role you will serve as a task leader responsible for developing project scopes, schedules and budgets for various environmental remediation projects. Technical responsibilities include compiling and evaluating a variety of data. You will analyze test data, develop or prepare descriptive charts, figures, or matrices; test specifications; or make recommendations regarding these items. Our engineers at this level are qualified professionals, proficient in utilizing most of the relevant theories and practices of the discipline. Candidates will complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. Assignments may involve the application of computer models and require an in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and control strategies relevant to their technical areas.
Plans and directs interdisciplinary environmental projects of large scope and complexity.
Serves as a technical leader and as a recognized expert in field of practice.
Provides regulatory compliance consulting services as an authority in field of specialty.
Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
Review and lead in compiling technical reports and documents prepared by others.
Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications/Skills:
4-year degree in an engineering curriculum related to the assigned discipline
8+ years of related work experience including experience as a task leader
California Professional Engineering License/Certification or ability to get within 1 year.
Requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.
Practical experience with Insitu Chemical Oxidations (ISCO), air sparge/soil vapor extraction, and other insitu treatment technologies
Thorough understanding of California environmental regulations

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
