Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazing Scientist/Geophysicist to join our team! In this role you will get to work as a geophysical data processor and quality control geophysicist for a large team of talented scientists and geophysicists who are leading the industry in digital geophysical mapping and advanced geophysical classification .
What You'll Be Doing:
Performing geophysical data processing and analysis for data collected with a variety of DGM and AGC geophysical sensors (EM61-MK2, MetalMapper2x2, MPV, APEX and UltraTEM)
Analyzing and interpreting data using associated software (Geosoft's Oasis Montaj, EM Class, and BT Field)
Demonstrating your capabilities under Parsons DAGCAP Program
Validating and verifying geophysical data
Designing seed plans
Placing Instrument Verification Strips and QC seeds in the field
Tracking QC information in Microsoft Access-format databases
Managing tasks or projects of small or moderate scope and complexity involving your technical expertise
Working with project teams, attend status meetings, communicating with field teams
Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior scientists and technicians
Writing geophysics sections of work plans and reports for CERCLA Remedial Investigation and Remedial Action projects
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
At least 3-5 years of munitions response geophysics work experience
Four-year degree in geophysics, geology, or related field
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence required (government project work)
Good written and oral communication skills
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with APEX or EM Class geophysical data processing software
Experience with advanced geophysical data collection and processing
DAGCAP Certification
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:

Salary Range:
$50,300.00 - $88,000.00
