The successful candidate shall provide facility assessment support to a client with a real estate portfolio located across the U.S.. Responsible for the technical excellence of the architectural tasks and analyses performed, and for on-schedule completion in accordance with contractual obligations. Reviews project documents for technical accuracy and conducts in-field reviews of project quality to ensure adherence to project plan. Willingness to travel to field sites is expected.
Leads a team of engineers in performing facility assessments at locations across the United States. Prepares reports with deficiencies and proposes projects for the improvement of small campus facilities. Generates scope of work, design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures.
Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable.
Reviews architectural design work by others. Speaking and written communication skills are paramount.
Advises project management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.
Keeps abreast of current technologies. Knowledge of sustainability standards to promote energy efficiency, low impact materials, efficient work practices are desired.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required.
Typically 8+ years of Related Experience.
Professional registration is preferred.
Requires excellence in the application of architectural design standards, practices, techniques, and concepts.
Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural design is also required, as well as strong presentation and writing skills.
The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $100,000.00.
