Job Description:

PARSONS is growing and we are hiring a Sr. Procurement Manager who will be partner in a wide variety of the more-complex procurement functions to ensure quality, efficiency, leadership, mentoring and timeliness of services provided to clients and project personnel.

What You Will Be Doing with Us:

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will:

Provide management and direction for all subcontract functions on large Federal domestic or international projects.

  • Review work produced by subordinates to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and that quality of procured items meets or exceeds requirements.

  • Monitor the productivity and technical proficiency of the assigned personnel.

  • Make staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs dictate.

  • Monitor staffing requirements and expenditures within budget constraints.

  • Coordinate procurement activities with clients, project management, and other departments within the Company.

  • Actively participate in the Company’s Quality Improvement Process.

  • Promote technical excellence in all employees.

  • May endeavor to develop a partnership agreement where supplier quality and performance are consistent with Company and client requirements.

  • Participate in establishing and maintaining Procurement Department policies and procedures, working closely with upper management.

  • Ensures compliance with the Company’s business ethics policy and with the Conflict-of-Interest Policy.

  • Offers training in these policies, as needed, to the assigned procurement personnel.

  • Conducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends promotions and salary actions, and offers training and development for the assigned personnel.

  • Completes special assignments for the Director and Subcontracts.

  • Participates in preparing proposals.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What We Need from You (REQUIRED):

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Economics (or related field)

  • 10+ years of diversified experience in all phases of procurement activities on large global engineering and construction projects, including managerial experience

  • Experience leading/mentoring others

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Experience/knowledge in all aspects of Federal procurement such as:

  • FAR and DFARs provisions related to CPSR


  • Ability and willingness to travel to offices up to 10-20%% as needed

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • 12-15 years of related experience

  • Experience managing/mentoring others

  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
