Ready to put your Aviation Project Planning expertise to work on Airports in the USA? Parsons is now hiring an experienced Aviation Planner with the following skills sets:

Parsons extensive experience in this field combined with your planning knowledge and engineering techniques will propel your career forward. We need our Planners at this level to apply diverse and intensive proficiency in the use of technical theories, practices, and company policies. In this role, you will provide technical direction to a team of planning professionals and technicians on large projects, or on several smaller projects or studies, involving the development of plans for the utilization of land and physical facilities. Our planners are responsible for the technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, regulatory compliance, and for on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience managing airport master plans, review and development

  • Familiar with current Airport technologies

  • Plans, directs, and supervises planning projects of large scope and complexity.

  • Serves as a technical leader and as a recognized expert in the field of practice.

  • Reviews work produced by those assigned to ensure that all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, and that quality is acceptable.

  • Confers with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, and community uses.

  • Provides advice and counsel regarding regulatory compliance issues. Serves as key contact for major clients. May serve on technical review boards, committees, and panels for projects which will have a major impact on a community or urban area.

  • Reviews and evaluates environmental impact reports and recommends changes to the overall project plan as appropriate.

  • Reviews and evaluates Reuse and Redevelopment Master Plans and recommends changes as appropriate.

  • Maintains active membership in appropriate professional organizations and societies. Represents the Company at conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Architecture or Engineering, Master's degree preferred

15+ years of related work experience

FAA Coordination experience

Certified Planner Certification is preferred at this level

Expert knowledge of planning practices and procedures

Proficiency in utilizing PC and various software packages typically used in planning assignments is required

Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills

Thorough understanding of local statutes and environmental rules and regulations

Salary Range:

$126,600.00 - $227,900.00
