Do you have experience on working on large transit projects? If you enjoy working in the field and performing structure maintenance, we have an opportunity for you in the DC area!
In a staff augmentation role, provide technical assistance to our client - a major transit agency - structures maintenance teams. Responsibilities include interpretation and adherence to specifications, work instructions, procedures; help with maintenance strategies for frequency and type of maintenance; technical support for structural repairs and restoration work such as direct fixation track support/grout pads, leak mitigation work, drainage system maintenance and repairs, structural concrete patching; set up of key processes and help with implementation; recommendations for improvements to structural asset management strategies; etc.
Minimum B.S. Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, preferably maintenance of major transit projects or similar infrastructure
Demonstrated experience with concrete and steel structures
Experience with tunnel maintenance, including leak mitigation -- preferred
Experience with maintenance of trackbed under direct fixation track, drainage system cleaning, grout pad renewals - preferred
Experience with repair of concrete structural defects - preferred
Experience with asset management databases such as Maximo and Optram - preferred
Ability to support maintenance crews with materials and equipment selections and construction means and methods
Ability to identify and address safety and quality concerns
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work during nights and weekends
