Are you looking to use and grow your Linux system engineering skills to help solve the hardest cyber problems? Are you interested in cyber research, helping to create flexible and scalable cyber test platforms? We're looking for system engineers with solid Linux skills to help us support a cutting-edge information security test and experimentation project - you will use a cutting-edge network security testing platform and support the design of experiments using current and experimental network protocols and security operations tools. This project is research, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an experimental environment - willing to own projects, implement software from research papers, and be comfortable adapting to rapidly changing client demands.
Develop Linux-based systems for testing and validation of next generation computer security tools and protocols
Improve process automation for software builds and experimental workflow
Develop new techniques for evaluating security software; the ideal candidate will be able to identify and recommend new protocols and software the team should consider based
Improve the quality of test simulations; the team regularly builds simulations of recently released software
Bachelors in computer science, computer engineering, information security or related discipline. Experience in computational or experimental science is a plus.
8+ years of experience related to the above responsibilities
Experience with virtual machines; the test environment runs hundreds of virtual machines on a regular basis. Experience with provisioning and configuration are a plus.
Programming experience: Python required, Golang preferred
Active TS Clearance
Desired Skills :
Experience with open-source automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, and Puppet
Experience with security operations
Knowledge of network routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
Strong communication skills - help the team use your product!
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
