Technical Director - Hydrology & Drainage Practice -USA National
Parsons is seeking to hire a Technical Director to serve as the discipline lead on a national basis for our expanding hydrology & drainage practice , to support national transportation infrastructure projects for road, highway, and bridge. This position can be based virtually in any major US city , with travel requirements throughout the US, predicated on various project initiatives and needs. The individual in this role will have a depth of professional experience as a subject matter expert in hydrology water practices supporting large and mid-scale design build projects in North America.
This role will oversee and direct business development initiatives for Parson's water practice in the hydrology and drainage disciplines, and develop strategy for sector growth and contributing to an overall vision for supporting planning, engineering, and design build projects across North America.
Will interface for well executed delivery of projects for various state and regional clients in the transportation infrastructure practice.
Optimization of efficiency in project delivery by assisting in driving sales in mid and high growth markets around the country.
The role will often interface with various business sector stakeholders, to maximize efficiency of efforts to understand and support client needs, and create sustainable solutions for our national water practice.
Contribute to corporate ideology to leverage technical assets to promote new technology resulting in enhanced results and sustainable solutions.
Strategize with regional and national counterparts and management to develop successful approaches to meet various growth and profit objectives.
This role will serve as the discipline lead and as a subject matter expert in the hydrology and drainage fields for the transportation sector.
A 4 year Bachelor's Degree is required in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, and 15 years or more highly focused hydrology and drainage experience.
A Master's Degree in the field is highly desirable. PE is required.
Experience supporting both large scale regional and national transportation projects is essential.
Business development acumen is essential for success in this role
