As VP of HR this position is responsible for providing leadership for the Human Resources Organization across multiple Federal business segments, including Cyber and Intelligence, Space and Defense. This position will manage a geographically dispersed subordinate HR team who, in turn, are responsible for leading and implementing critical people initiatives in line with the business unit strategies to increase revenue, margins and capital through enhancing the overall employee experience and retention.
Reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer, with dotted line accountability to the Business Unit Leadership team
In partnership with the Business Unit leadership, develop and implement employee culture initiatives that focus on talent development, employee engagement and inclusion and diversity with an acute focus on improving employee retention.
Assesses present and future HR needs, trends, problems, and identifies opportunities and actions to support energetic organic business growth.
Participates in development of HR policies and procedures in support of the federal business units with high organic revenue and headcount growth expectations.
Ensures that approved policies and established objectives are clearly understood and effectively adopted in 'high growth' federal business units.
Manages labor and ODC expenditures for assigned People Team
In collaboration with HR Shared Services functions provide leadership on performance management, succession planning, compensation, incentive planning, learning and development and annual strategic people initiatives in support of assigned business units.
Leverages HR data analytics to drive strategic decision making, assess best practices and identify areas for improvement.
Serves as integration leader and Agile methodology Product owner for acquisitions and integration activities associated with assigned revenue and/or business units.
Manages assigned HR team to ensure the delivery and implementation of business unit strategies, and to provide direction and performance management as appropriate for team.
Partners with Senior Leaders and Talent Acquisition on key hires and executive compensation.
May lead Enterprise-wide initiatives in support of talent development and retention as directed by Chief Human Resources Officer.
Participates in and/or leads cross functional teams to drive improved alignment of process, systems, and interdependencies to improve manage compliance, drive an improved employment experience, and achieve business expectations. Cross functional groups may include payroll, accounting, project controls and contracts within the federal business unit or corporate-wide.
In conjunction with Benefit and HR Systems, continually review, update, and streamline ongoing benefit offerings to meet the evolving needs of high growth and broadly diverse federal business units.

Bachelor's Degree in related field and typically 15+ years of broad and diversified experience providing human resources support to federal government contractors in the cyber and intelligence, space, and defense business segments.
Top Secret security clearance and SPHR desired
Proven ability for managing a large and diverse group of human resource professionals.
Ability to provide direction and resolve complex work assignments and tasks.
Knowledge of Human Resource Policies, Procedures, and best practices.
Must be knowledgeable of best practices for utilizing HRIS (Workday Preferred) and other software applications (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) to achieve the highest level of productivity and drive efficiency within the People Organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to senior management, must also be demonstrated.
Proven ability to work at all levels of the organization and inspire trust, confidence and consensus among diverse teams or stakeholders.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for actions based on the analysis.
Ability to lead via influence and to partner effectively with functional groups and leaders across the business unit and enterprise.
