Position Overview:

We are looking for a recognized Leader to lead our sales, business development and overall growth strategy for our Critical Infrastructure Market Lines in the Central Region of the United States (29 states). These Market Lines include environmental services, design, planning, program and construction management, infrastructure/technology system delivery for transportation and water/wastewater projects. Our transportation portfolio includes road & highway, bridge & tunnel, transit & rail, aviation, intelligent transportation systems and other smart mobility technologies and applications. Our clients include public entities, contractor partners and private developers.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing external customer focused strategies to increase our business line market share and build our brand within this important region. As a key member of the business development management team, you will provide overall leadership to achieve sustainable and profitable growth within the region. Through leadership and collaboration with local market line managers, this position is responsible for maintaining and growing Parsons’ reputation as the leader in the infrastructure industry, including developing and growing the geographic market by effectively partnering with top customer/agency leaders and forming strategic industry alliances.

This position is based in the central region of the US.

(States include: MT, ID, WY, NV, UT, AZ, CO, NM, TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, ND, MN, IA,MO, AR, LA, MS, AL,TN, KY, IL, INWV, OH, MI, WI)

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Keep abreast of overall business trends, particularly the current business climate.

  • Develop and execute long-term business and marketing strategies consistent with Parsons strategic and financial goals.

  • Leverage and expand your key contacts within private organizations and state and municipal agencies to strengthen client relationships and proactively develop project and program opportunities.

  • Build and implement effective sales/marketing initiatives to drive market growth.

  • Manage complex win strategies and proposal efforts that entail both conventional/traditional contract and procurement methods as well as alternative project delivery methods.

  • Report and coordinate with the Mobility Solutions Market Leadership and other Business Development Directors and Managers to maximize Critical Infrastructure’s overall growth goals.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in related field and 20+ years of broad and diversified experience within the Transportation and/or Water and Wastewater industries, including as a business development leader in the central region of the US.

  • Proven leader in client relationship management, strategic planning, strategic teaming and proposal strategy and negotiation.

  • Ability to leverage your key contacts with private organizations and state and municipal agencies within the region and build a robust sales pipeline for Parsons.

Skills and Competencies:

Requires a working knowledge of infrastructure industry business practices and the negotiation of contracts. Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with business development.

This position pays a minimum annual salary of $170,000.00 and a maximum annual salary of $325,000.00.

This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
