Job Description:

Parsons is looking for three levels of Adjudications Support Officer. The Security Officer will provide adjudicative support to the Adjudications Branch. Functions will include data collectors; review security files; analyze data; provide status checks on cases to management and others; research security issues; interview subjects; and liaise with polygraph, investigative and case processing colleagues. Adjudicators make adjudicative recommendations to the senior managers either in abbreviated summaries or full-length written reports and perform follow-up actions as necessary to assist in the adjudication of the suitability of a Subject for access to classified material.

Level I:

Entry-level security professional who provides advice and assistance to the Government regarding adjudications. Level I Adjudicators apply knowledge and experience with standard security concepts, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SEAD 4 and Executive Order 12968.

  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (2010 or later).

  • Elicitation experience and strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Discretion.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Must possess a current TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance

  • High school diploma and minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Level II:

Mid-level security professional who provides advice and assistance to the Government regarding adjudications. Level II Adjudicators apply knowledge and experience with standard security concepts, practices, and procedures. Level II Adjudicator Contractors shall possess the following expected qualifications in addition to the Level I Adjudicator expectations:

Qualifications:

  • Experience performing background investigations, counterintelligence, or personnel security for USG clearances.

  • Direct experience as an adjudicator with USG.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Must possess a current TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance

  • Associate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or High School diploma and 5 years of relevant experience

Level III:

Senior-level security professional who provides advice and assistance to the Government regarding adjudication. Level III Adjudicators apply knowledge and experience with standard security concepts, practices, and procedures. Level III Adjudicator Contractors shall possess the following expected qualifications in addition to the Level I-II Adjudicator expectations:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IC reciprocity agreements.

  • Knowledge of IC community partner organizations to facilitate cross agency communications.

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including using pivot tables to analyze data.

  • Demonstrated analytical reasoning skills and sound judgement.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct sensitive and in-depth personal interviews, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated excellent elicitation skills and ability to articulate and document information in a well-organized, clear, and concise manner.

  • Demonstrated representational skills and ability to establish rapport with individuals at all echelons.

  • In addition, demonstrated ability to maintain focus and professional composure in confrontation situations.

  • Demonstrated verbal skills in presenting issues, conclusions, and options at meetings or briefings to senior management.

  • Ability to organize multiple cases and/or tasks so that work is completed on schedule.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Must possess a current TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance

  • Bachelor Degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent Education and Years’ Experience

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
