Parsons Corporation Space Cryptography Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia
This valuable member of our Space Cryptographic Engineering team will provide technical advice, and oversee and perform engineering services that may include: studies and analyses; technology planning; systems architecture development; requirements development; concept development; systems design; system development and integration; test and evaluation; systems operation; control of systems and components; integrated logistics support; modeling and simulation; configuration management; and systems acquisition and life-cycle management.
Provide cryptographic engineering and design guidance to SmallSat development contractors by developing and maintaining functional system and/or product specifications, reviewing technical CDRLs, participating in technical exchanges and design reviews, and by assessing developers' technical trade recommendations and engineering change proposals.
Work with government program offices, Customer certification managers and others to process and track development activities and contract data requirements and to respond to related issues, queries and schedules related to Customer Small Satellite (SmallSat) programs.
Provide assistance to evaluate and certify the implementation, integration and/or embedment of cryptography and cryptographic-related IA or IA-enabled IT products (i.e., hardware, software, and firmware) and advocate on behalf of the Customer's programs to resolve programmatic and technical cryptographic equipment issues. Will assist the Government to coordinate with external offices on High Assurance cryptographic development activities, cryptographic certification and related documentation.
Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
A minimum of five (5) years relevant IA Engineering experience
Experience with Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) or Ground Operating Equipment (GOE)
Experience with cryptographic space algorithms, cryptographic embedment, and space systems key management plans
Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
