Senior Roadway Civil Engineer – Raleigh Charlotte, North Carolina

Parsons is now hiring an experienced Road and Highway Engineer for our rapidly expanding Raleighand Charlotteoffices.

We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.
In this position you will perform road and highway design tasks and civil engineering calculations and analysis. You will be tasked with geometric layout, construction specification development and material quantity calculations. You will utilize MicroStation and GEOPAK and interface with CAD designers, as well as other engineers and subcontractors.Keys to your success will be your civil engineering acumen and road and highway background. Independently develops and/or supervises the creation ofroadway plansthat meet NCDOT requirements.
Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents.
Provides support for other engineering activities as required. May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
ars of related work experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is required.
8-10 years of related experience is required.
NC PE License is Preferred
Experience with North Carolina DOT projects is highly desirable
Proficiency in utilizing Microstation CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
